DEATH :- 26th JAMMADI US SANNI
The tenth honly imam Like his father was also elevated to the rank of the imam in his childhood.He was six year old when his father Imam Muhammed -e-taqi died .Imam Live peacfully for five years as rulers were to oocupied in state affairs , al-mutawakil did not get anytime to harass the imam and his follower four years .but soon as he freed himself from state affair , he started to molest the Imam .The Holty imam devoted himself to the sacred mission of preaching in medina and did thus earn the faith of the people as well as their allegiance and recognition of his great knowledge and attributes.This repution of the Imam Evoked the jealousy and malice of al-Mutawakil against him .

The governer of Medina wrote to Al_mutawakil that Imam had been manoeuvring a coup againist the grovenment and multitude of shias were pledge to his support.Under the Grap of pretended respect and love toward the imam he planned to put him under lfe imprisonment after inviting him to his palace.

After the death of of Al-mutawakil , al mustansir , al-mustasin and al-mutazz carried on the same mission of harassment against the family of Imam. Al-Muutazz understanding the uncontrollable and intense devotion of the people toward Imam eventually contrived the imam's assassaination . He got him posioned through a ambassador which results in his death on 26th jamdi us sanni 254A.H. He was buried in samarra .
